Our mission is to advance the research, restoration, and conservation of tropical forests and to foster scientific outreach and education.
LLFS is the site of long-term and new research projects focused on ecological and social aspects of forest restoration.
We protect ~60ha of rain forest and are actively restoring another 40ha with the involvement of researchers and partner organizations.
LLFS provides simple facilities and resources for researchers, students and education and outreach activities.
